Steve Davis will miss tomorrow’s match at Aberdeen as Micky Beale aims to send another title warning at Celtic.

The Irishman’s 25 minute display against Hibs was described as a Rolls Royce performance by Keith Jackson but the veteran midfielder will be watching the Pittodrie action on telly.

It was expected that the resumption of the SPFL season would see the treatment room at Murray Park cleared out but there aren’t many options for Beale to play with as he prepares for the midweek trips to Aberdeen and Ross County.

The Glasgow Times reports Beale saying:

Borna (Barisic) is back in Croatia, we hope to have him back for the Motherwell game. (Steve) Davis is away for a scan for a small injury, he is the only fresh injury. Connor Goldson will come back into the squad tomorrow.

(Antonio) Colak is not available, but he will be on Friday. We need to continue our second-half performance into the start of Tuesday’s match.

With Colak still crocked Alfredo Morelos is the only striker available to Beale.

It seems that there is no improvement in the fitness of Kemar Roofe, Filip Helander, Tom Lawrence or Ridvan Yilmaz. John Souttar is expected to resume light training in the next seven to 10 days.
