After picking up a hamstring injury against Motherwell Alfredo Morelos has posted a ‘DON’T GIVE UP NOW’ message on his Instagram account.
The striker scored his fifth goal of the season last night but was replaced by Rabbi Matondo for the final 20 minutes.
Morelos fell to the ground clutching his hamstring, after receiving treatment he was able to walk off the pitch to spark a guessing game about whether he will be fit to face Celtic on Monday.
The striker picked up a thigh injury in March that required surgery, after returning out of shape he was slaughtered in public by Giovanni van Bronckhorst after being sent off against Hibs.
With his contract running down the former HJK Helsinki starlet needs to get into some sort of playing condition otherwise he’ll be heading back to Columbia rather than getting the rumoured move to Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle, Aston Villa or Barcelona.
Despite being allowed nine substitutes, Antonio Colak and Kemar Roofe failed to make the bench last night, neither has played since early November. Fashion Sakala is the only other striking option at the club.
