Ibrox fans call on ball boys to ‘do their duty’ on January 2

With three matches still to be played Ibrox fans are already fretting over how their side will shape up against Celtic on January 2.

Doing an Aberdeen doesn’t seem an option, Micky Beale might be happy with 0-0 going into the 87th minute but 19% possession won’t go down well with close to 50,000 bears sickened by two hammerings suffered at Celtic Park.

It seems that the quickness that Celtic take set pieces at surprised James Tavernier and his team-mates in September but some bears have tippled to this tactic and want their own ball boys to play a key role in the January 2 clash.

If that is the level of discussion going on at this stage there is clearly a degree of panic ahead of the match.

Should Celtic go to Ibrox with more than a nine point lead it will be very difficult for Micky Beale to prevent panic turning into fear as the SPFL champions first foot across the city.
