Almost a month after his World Cup farewell Aaron Ramsey has still to return to club football at Nice.

The midfielder was a passenger in three World Cup ties as Wales crashed out of the competition which was in keeping with his impact earlier in the year at Ibrox.

While Kris Boyd celebrated the January 31 loan deal others wondered why there was no interest from the EPL in the injury jinxed Welshman.

It quickly became clear that Ramsey was only at Ibrox to attain a level of fitness for international football. He never played a full match for Giovanni van Bronckhorst while lasting 90 minutes as Wales beat Austria and Ukraine to qualify for Qatar.

Two weeks before the decisive match against Ukraine, Rambo was brought off the bench in extra-time to take a penalty in the Europa League Final.

After starting five League matches for Nice and coming off the bench seven times it is unlikely that the French side will miss the presence of the 32-year-old. Nice resume their League 1 campaign tomorrow at home to Lens.

Rambo played against USA, Iran and England on November 21, 25 and 29, starting all three matches.
