Fabrozio Romano has tweeted that Josip Juranovic is on the radar of many clubs but hasn’t named anyone lining up a bid.

Most players at the World Cup Finals will be attracting interest from elsewhere, especially when they play outwith the big five European leagues and reach the knock-out phase in Qatar.

Juranovic was an impressive performer as Croatia came through a tough group that saw Belgium make an early exit. With Japan to be faced later today there is a decent chance that Juranovic could be involved in a quarter-final tie at the weekend.

After appearing in all six of Celtic’s Champions League group stage matches Juranovic’s stock has never been higher, which might make now the best time for Celtic to cash in.

Celtic fans are always loathe to see favoured players move on but with Alistair Johnston already signed up it looks like the hoops have been planning ahead.

In 2019 ahead of selling Kieran Tierney Celtic signed Boli Bolingoli, afterwards they signed Greg Taylor, played Johny Hayes then brought in Diego Laxalt before Ange Postecoglou realised that Taylor was the best left-back at the club.

Seems fairly obvious as we have signed his replacement, that an agreement is already in place for JJ’s sale…probably to some English club. We did the exact same with KT who knew he was going to Arsenal in at least June, fee pre-agreed before the news broke.

At least we have made the replacement BEFORE he has left, albeit unlikely to kick a ball for us again in case something should go wrong and he picks up an injury.
