Pittodrie appears to be in the clear for tomorrow’s clash against Celtic.

Despite a week of freezing temperatures and a mix of amber and yellow warnings Jim Goodwin’s squad were able to train on the pitch this week with no sign of frost or snow on the surface.

After a five week lay-off the last thing that anyone wants is for matches to be postponed because of the weather but according to the BBC forecast the temperature will remain above freezing with no sign of snow.

Celtic will travel north-east this afternoon with Callum McGregor back leading the squad.

The return of the captain is a welcome boost for Ange Postecoglou who should be able to call on Cameron Carter-Vickers, Aaron Mooy and Daizen Maeda less than a fortnight after they were playing in the World Cup Finals.

Loan Celt Liam Scales will be missing from the Aberdeen defence as the hoops look to re-establish their nine point lead at the top of the Premiership table.

Not really interested in the game tomorrow tbh…apparently the Ranjurs won the league last night again. Oh well, that’ll be that then, eh!
