At the end of August Ross Wilson looked like the happiest wee guy in Holland as he reacted to Giovanni van Bronckhorst securing a place in the group stage of the Champions League.

Antonio Colak scored the only goal of the game to see off PSV Eindhoven on a 3-2 aggregate- it was bonus time all round with Wilson leading the dressing room excitement.

Over the fortnight following those celebrations things took something of a downturn as Celtic and Ajax handed out 4-0 hammerings with van Bronckhorst denied any new signings despite the Champions League windfall.

One Champions League defeat extended to six, Liverpool scored seven at Ibrox after Scott Arfield opened the scoring, the Tribute Act entered the record books as the worst side ever in the Champions League group stage.

Van Bronckhorst picked up his pay off with two and a half years left to run on his contract.

At the company AGM on Tuesday Wilson was under fire with a range of questions highlighting the catalogue of errors from the Sporting Director.

The self styled transfer guru wasn’t doing much jumping up and down, with the January transfer window less that four weeks away from opening the pressure is on Wilson after his horrendous summer signings left van Bronckhorst with a near impossible job.
