SFA double standards as Connor Goldson escapes penalty call

It is fair to say that all sets of supporters except one are far from happy with VAR in Scottish football.

The tired old lie that decisions even themselves out over the course of a season is no longer valid with clear and obvious mistakes apparently being corrected.

Unfortunately that is also complete nonsense, a very similar incident in Dingwall on a Friday night gets judged differently to clash at Tannadice the following day.

If you are Connor Goldson you’ll get an extra allowance from Don Robertson, the following day Colin Steven treated  Ryan Edwards of Dundee United very differently.

Andrew Dallas will be VAR for Celtic’s match against Hibs on Wednesday with Alan Muir refereeing the match. Muir was on VAR duty at Ibrox a fortnight ago when he missed the James Sands handball incident against Hibs.

In 18 SPFL matches the Ibrox Tribute Act haven’t conceded any penalty, league leaders Celtic have had four penalties awarded against them.
