Watch as Ange destroys reporter with best ever put down

Somewhere out there a reporter will be feeling very uncomfortable as they sit down to dinner tonight.

Three weeks since he last spoke to the media, with Yuki Kobayashi signed, with four players involved in World Cup knock out ties, with Alistair Johnston strongly linked with Celtic a reporter allocated a place at Celtic’s media conference had only one thought.

A month before the Glasgow Derby, with four matches still to be played, someone felt that the most pressing issue was a reaction from Ange Postecoglou on a change of manager at Ibrox and the likely impact on a match a long time away.

The Celtic boss kept the answer diplomatic, he knows how limited Scottish football reporters are, it was a classic reply.

On the scale of things that have been on my mind over the last two weeks, I reckon that’s registering below what I am having for dinner tonight.

Since he last sat down with the Scottish media Postecoglou has been back home in Melbourne for the first time in a couple of years, if he ever doubted how limited the thoughts of the Scottish media are then he certainly knows now that folk sent to a Celtic media conference have their thoughts elsewhere in the city.

    This is pathetic Scotland.
    What a shower!

  • Justshatered says:

In some ways I blame our press officer.
The gathered press should be told beforehand that the manager is here to talk about Celtic and no other club. Any question not about Celtic will not be entertained.
It is simple statement to make.

Editor: Our Communications Manager has been in place for over 20 years, his record speaks for itself, a club dependent on keeping newspapers with daily circulation under 70,000 to reach Celtic fans. The world has changed just a little.

Lol what a severe boot in the Jack&Danny for her delivered with steele toe caps on,that daft cow won’t be asking anymore questions like that for while, the diner line what a BELTER of a put down.

  • BriBhoy says:

Usual cringeworthy, gutter-level, SMM “journalism” (being extremely generous using that word here), aimed at generating cheap, distorted, barrel-scraping, sensationalist clickbait, rather than insightful, investigative, intelligent, informative articles. This is what holding power to account now amounts to. Piss poor garbage, written by semi-literate cretins.

  • Rob O’Keeffe says:

Never mind his dinner,he certainly has the smsm for breakfast. He should’ve have also said that rangers are still in liquidation and there is no old firm.

  • John Copeland says:

If Celtic charged £25,000 for questions from the media like another clumpany does , that answer right there would justify the fee ! We are so fortunate to have Ange Postecoglou as our manager . By the look on his face pre question,he could tell that the scoop would ask such a foolish thing . It’s an education to watch the big man in action ,and he rarely comes out of second gear !

    • Jim Duffy says:

He is brilliant John but I just worry now ,that he and lawell may clash and unfortunately we know who’s side Desmond will take in the clash of personalities so I think we make the most of big Ange before he bails out .
