Against many predictions Tom Rogic has quickly found his feet at West Brom and is helping his new club towards a promotion push.

The Celtic hero was out of football for the first two months of the season, with his low profile it looked like there was a chance that he might just slip into retirement.

Steve Bruce and the English Championship isn’t a combination known for providing a platform for outstanding skill but it seems that Bruce left a parting gift for the club.

Eighteen points from seven matches under new boss Carlos Corberán has transformed the season, although they are sitting in 14th position in the Championship they are just three points short of a play-off position.

Among the kick and rush off a 46 match league programme Rogic is standing out like a sore thumb. With vision, skill and passing ability that no-one in the division can touch he has evolved into a play-maker, creating goals rather than scoring them.

Back in October Bristol City enjoyed a 2-0 win away to West Brom, in the return fixture it was Rogic’s side that came out on top with the Australian providing the pass for substitute Brandon Thomas-Asante to score the killer goal in a 2-0 win. The goal came in the 75th minute, often in his Celtic career Rogic would have been substituted by that time.
