For over 40 years Murdo MacLeod has been an essential part of Celtic. As a player, assistant manager and most recently as a pundit.

It is easy to take folk for granted, just assuming that they will always be around but earlier this year MacLeod had much more than a ‘routine’ health scare.

As a player he was one of the toughest and most resilient, it is hard to remember a single injury during his Celtic playing days but you can’t minimise having to spend 103 days in hospital. It puts a Champions League campaign into perspective.

Thankfully MacLeod is moving along the slow road to recovery, he still looks weak but is clearly over the worse.

Taking part in that interview shows that he is on the mend, hopefully at some stage in 2023 he is fit enough to attend Celtic Park and get the gold clubs out to hit the fairways.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.
