Not so long ago Todd Cantwell was being touted as Jack Grealish’s replacement at Aston Villa.

Sky Sports News does have a lot of broadcasting time to fill up during transfer windows with the Norwich starlet once tipped for big things.

Six EPL goals in the first half of the 2019/20 season suggested that there might be a player in there but it seems that Cantwell has still to emerge from Lockdown.

Norwich were relegated at the end of the 2019/20 season, during their promotion during Lockdown their star midfielder managed to start just 30 out of 46 matches as Kenny McLean made his presence felt.

Last season was another write off, after five starts in the EPL Cantwell went on loan to relegation rivals Bournemouth who quietly returned the midfielder to Norfolk without any offer to make the move permanent.

Halfway through another underwhelming season the 24-year-old midfielder is in Glasgow to undergo a medical, looking for a midfield place against competition from John Lundstram, Glen Kamara, Ryan Jack, Scot Arfield and Malik Tillman.
