Alex Yiga is on his way to a trial at Murray Park.

The 16-year-old Ugandan starlet has been compared to a young Charlie McCann with a week of training arranged under the eye of star maker Craig Mulholland.

Three young Ugandan players are in Scotland this week with trials also arranged with St Mirren and Dundee United.

Ugandan website Kawowo reports:

16-year-old Yiga is a creative midfielder for the Uganda U-17 national team and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Soccer Academy currently in S5 at Dynamic Secondary School in Mukono. He will conduct his trials at Scottish super power Glasgow Rangers.

I will give my all to make sure that I succeed and I am retained in Scotland. This is a big opportunity that I have been yearning and working for in my life. I thank my mother, coaches, Festoweb sports management and everybody who has contributed a brick to my football career” Yiga who roves best as a number nine revealed.

Micky Beale is confident that this will be the week that Ross Wilson finally gets a transfer deal completed.
