Ally McCoist has claimed that Celtic believe there is a grand conspiracy in Scottish football.
The former Rangers player and manager was speaking during Scottish Football Extra on BT Sport tonight, hosted by Darrell Currie with Chris Sutton also appearing.
On Monday McCoist was part of the Sky Sports commentary team at the Glasgow derby.
In their 20th SPFL match of the season Celtic conceded their fifth penalty, despite trailing the champions by nine points and having a vastly inferior goal difference the Ibrox side have yet to face a penalty in 20 SPFL matches.
Rather than rationally discuss those strange patterns McCoist has opted to go off on a complete tangent. Adding to the intrigue in 10 UEFA matches this season Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side had four penalties awarded against them.
Tomorrow Nick Walsh will referee his fourth Celtic match of the season, at Tynecastle in October he awarded Hearts two penalties while denying Celtic a spot kick after Michael Smith handled a pass from James Forrest.
