Ange Postecoglou hasn’t closed the doors on making more January signings.

On Wednesday Oh Hyeon-gyu became the fourth arrival of the January widow with Josip Juranovic and Moritz Jenz moving in the opposite direction.

Just like last year Postecoglou likes to get his business done early, preferring to have signings over the door at the end of December rather than the end of January.

Giorgos Giakoumakis has been heavily touted for a move away from Celtic with that belief fuelled by his absence from the last two matches.

The striker has been spotted training at Lennoxtown this week with nothing cut and dried about his future.

Listening to the Celtic boss answer if his recruitment was completed on Sky Sports, Glasgow Live! reports Postecoglou saying:

Well, I could say yes and make it a boring few days for everyone but I’ll just say we’ll continue to be agile and see what happens.

There is still a bit of speculation around him; nothing has been confirmed. With a few days left in the window we will see what happens with Giako. He’s still part of us at the moment but there’s still a fair bit going on around in the background. Hopefully that all gets resolved in the next few days.

There’s no great urgency, from us or from anyone, it’s just Giako wants to explore some offers for himself and that is what he is dong. And if he finds something he really wants to explore that is suitable to us a football club then we will look at it in that light. But in the meantime we are making sure we’re ready to go for the games.

Four new arrivals has taken the Celtic squad to around the 30 mark with a couple of fringe players possibly moving on in the next few days.

James McCarthy and Yosuke Ideguchi have drifted far out of the picture while loan signing Oliver Abildgaard could follow Moritz Jenz in cutting his stay short.
