Anthony Joseph has confirmed interest in Cho Gue-sung from Minnesota United.

Following the World Cup it was assumed that the South Korean striker would be moving to Europe with Celtic credited with a strong interest.

The hoops have been reported to be in negotiations with Jeonbuk Hyundai Director of Football Park Ji Sung over a deal for the striker but talks seem to be dragging out.

Over the weekend Mainz were being strongly linked but over the last 24 hours interest has emerged from the MLS.

Recent Celtic transfer deals have generally been concluded within a week of interest first emerging.

It appears that a deal may be dependent on the transfer of Giorgos Giakoumakis who despite speculation was training at Lennoxtown today.

Lawwell getting involved in ransfers again? We need a new striker, get the deal done. £3m is chicken feed these days, and easily within our price range.
