Micky Beale has admitted that his club haven’t signed up anyone on a pre-contract deal.

After 27 days of the transfer window Todd Cantwell is the only addition to the Ibrox squad despite Beale staring into the eyes of transfer targets more than three weeks ago.

Last week the former QPR boss was happy to talk up Nicolas Raskin of Standard Liege who has apparently been a long term signing target for Ross Wilson.

Some favoured fan media outlets as well as In The Know posters claimed that a pre-contract deal had been signed by the Belgian u-21 internationalist while Wilson tries to bring the deal forward with low-ball fees spread over several instalments.

Beale killed that notion off at today’s media conference.

The return of Ianis Hagi to the squad to face St Johnstone tomorrow is to be treated like a new signing but John Souttar remains a few weeks away from making his second appearance.
