Leicester City are apparently considering a move for Ryan Kent if they fail to sign the winger that they actually want to buy.

There appears to be a complete lack of interest in Micky Beale’s squad but that doesn’t make for pleasant reading for Daily Record readers.

Years of near miss stories about clubs monitoring Kent, Alfredo Morelos, James Tavernier and Ianis Hagi can’t be pushed aside for a dose of reality.

With absolutely no interest being shown in Kent the creative minds at the Record have come up with:

Leicester are reportedly considering a late move for Ryan Kent this month with their hopes of adding Jack Harrison from Leeds United rapidly fading. The Yorkshire side are reportedly unwilling to allow the winger to leave Elland Road for a Premier League side as it stands.

90 min report that the Kent “remains a possible option in the final days before the transfer deadline” as the Foxes weigh up their options. They note that Brendan Rodgers is already “familiar” with the 26-year-old from his time at Celtic.

Kent if out of contract in the summer and could agree a pre-contract switch this month. A move to the King Power Stadium this month would allow Rangers to recoup a transfer fee for their key man.

With their EPL status in the balance Leicester won’t be doing any pre-contract deals as the 2016 champions battle to retain their top flight status.

Where the whole article and it’s transfer speculation falls apart is in the sentence; “they note that ‘BR’ is already “familiar” with’ Kent, due to his time with Celtic. So Brendan Rodgers ex Celtic Manager is aware of Kent, well slap me with a wet nettle and call me surprised, of course he’s aware; he’s also aware of how pish he is.
    Desperation oozing from every pore.

Obviously BR’s time with Celtic, not Kent’s, but to a stranger in a strange land , that could be misconstrued as Kent being a ona a level with Celtic players. Trying to make sows ears and purses

It is too much for words, we have had years of people being in for the Scouse no-mark and fat boy and no moves materialise, but he is in the best form he has had this season.
He is a lazy non trier and why anyone else would want that in there squad, I don’t think so. Unless you could get them for nil there is no hope of a fee.
My prediction it will be new contracts in the summer because no one gave them the same thrill as playing for sevco. No fees again for next 3 years

After his two performances against Liverpool, EPL clubs must be lining up to sign him……or maybe not!
