Ange Postecoglou has sidestepped another attempt by Micky Beale to play mind games.

Before the January transfer window had officially opened the Celtic boss already had three new signings added to his squad- one straight from the World Cup Finals in Qatar.

Beale is still waiting to make his first signing prompting the new man at Ibrox to describe his city rival as lucky- a claim that Postecoglou is in agreement as he told The Sun:

I agree, mate. I’m an extremely lucky man. I work for a fantastic football club with fantastic people. I’ve got a beautiful family. And I’ve been doing this for 25 years now, and long may that continue.

Postecoglou’s fantastic football club have picked up 14 of the last 18 domestic honours, Beale’s club, along with St Johnstone have shared the other four.

On Saturday lucky Ange takes Celtic to the semi-final of the Viaplay Cup, hoping to build on a record of lifting the trophy five times in the last six seasons.

In sport you often create your own luck, in the summer of 2021 Postecoglou walked in on a club that had finished the season without a trophy for the first time since 2003.
