It is looking very likely that the Morgan Whittaker ship has sailed for Micky Beale.

Last night the Ibrox boss was left red faced when he was informed that a bid had been made and rejected by Swansea for the 22-year-old forward.

With a contract running until May 2025 Whittaker won’t be leaving the Welsh side on the cheap which effectively rules out a move to Ibrox regardless of the lure of Beale and his legendary training sessions at Murray Park.

Having been on loan at League One Plymouth Argyle in the first half of the season if Whittaker turns out for Swansea at the weekend he won’t be able to play for another club this season.

A number of sources are reporting that a deal has been agreed with Norwich for Todd Cantwell with the midfielder expected to undergo a medical tomorrow.

Cantwell hasn’t played since early November with Dean Smith and Martin Wagner both regularly selecting Kenny McLean ahead of the Ibrox bound ‘star’.
