Anything to do with the J-League and Celtic fans know that Dan is the man.
For 18 months Dan Orlowitz of the Japan Times has been the go-to account on Twitter as Celtic recruit players to follow former Yokohama F Marinos boss Ange Postecoglou.
Orlowitz doesn’t claim to have the inside track on any transfer dealings but he knows the league, the players and the Japanese media. His know how also extends to South Korea.
With Celtic’s prospects of signing Cho Gue-sung fast fading another two players were linked from one dubious Twitter account.
Apparently Celtic have switched their attention to Thiago Santana and Yuito Suzuki except they haven’t.
A few basic checks would have raised suspicions but anxious to gather clicks the Daily Record and Scottish Daily Express were quickly onto Celtic’s new striker targets.
Not for the first time it seems that both titles have been duped, Santana and Suzuki are as likely to be joining Celtic as Morelos and Kent joining Manchester City in a shock double swoop.
3. Insofar as Suzuki is somewhere in JNT depth chart (was a replacement callup after Maeda/Hatate joined Celtic for the canceled Uzbekistan friendly), he’s young & surely has potential & ambition… but straight to Celtic after missing 1/2 of season w/ injuries? Not convinced.

4. Shimizu in the J2 this year and haven’t announced new contracts for either player. A fire sale is, I suppose, in the realm of possibility.
5. Thiago Santana turns 30 next month and was the lowest-scoring golden boot winner in J1 history. Surely Celtic can do better?

Imagine that, a double loaded shite paper talking and printing utter shite, hard to believe!
Joe, they’ve printed utter shite my whole life especially when Celtic are involved, should hang their heads in total shame, disgrace to journalism.
the one story they did get right was that 140 years of history came to an end. we will never ever let them forget that brilliant front page headline.
The Record scoops were looking for a scoop ,then became the scoop …
