Oh Hyeon-gyu has mind mind set on a slice of the action at Tannadice on Sunday.

The striker has been a signing target for Ange Postecoglou since September but it was only this week that the deal was completed.

Oh has had plenty of time to prepare for a possible move, after a couple of training sessions he wants to get out in front of the Celtic support and show them that their manager has made another inspired signing.

The Daily Record reports the new bhoy saying:

From the moment I heard the offer, I always dreamed about coming over to Celtic and I was looking forward to meeting the fans.

I have watched Celtic matches. I think the manager’s strategy is the same as mine. I like to chase the ball.

The fans here are also very enthusiastic and that is also something I am looking forward to experiencing for myself. I saw their reaction to goals being scored and that made my heart beat fast.

I believe I can bring something to the team and the club. I am a striker and believe I can prove myself by scoring goals. But I will also work hard to help the defence as well.

Whether anyone at Celtic likes it or not Oh’s arrival looks to be a direct replacement for Giorgos Giakoumakis with the Greek striker a very close guarantee of goals coming off the bench to replace Kyogo Furuhashi.

The departure of the Greek striker has turned into a laboured affair but with just one striker in his Starting XI Oh looks like the man that Postecoglou is investing in.

The 21-year-old hasn’t played competitively since before the World Cup Finals but seems very well prepared to make an impact at his new club.
