Report details offer made for Celtic striker

Transfer

Bordeaux are reported to have made an offer of between €2.5-3m for Giorgos Giakoumakis which is roughly the fee that Celtic paid for the striker in August 2021.

Having regained his place in the Greek national side, been joint top scorer in last season’s SPFL and scored in the Champions League Celtic will be holding out for far more than a ‘money-back’ deal.

Bordeaux are pushing for promotion back to Ligue 1 but it seems unlikely that they’ll have Giakoumakis in their ranks any time soon.
