Ange Postecoglou has named a strong Celtic side for the visit of Morton but with 10 days left in the transfer window there is no sign of Josip Juranovic or Giorgos Giakoumakis in the side.

Last night it was reported that the Croatian defencder was in talks to join Union Berlin while the future of Giakoumakis is unclear after he missed Wednesday’s win over St Mirren, trained on Friday but is being linked with moves to Spain, Italy and Japan.

Alexandro Bernabei replaces Juranovic at left-back with places also found for Aaron Mooy, David Turnbull and Daizen Maeda as the hoops set off in the Scottish Cup.

Yuki Kobayashi gets his second appearance in defence alongside Carl Starfelt while Juranovic’s apparent replacement, Alastair Johnstone makes his fourth appearance in five matches at right-back.

Kevin Clancy referees today’s match with VAR in operation, one of only three Scottish Cup ties with the system in operation.
