The Celtic obsessed Jambo at the Guardian

Just like his big buddie on BBC Scotland, Ewan Murray just can’t help tweeting about Celtic.

The Guardian’s golf correspondent doesn’t attract much attention discussing the fairways and bunkers but is smart enough to know that constantly sniping about Celtic and in particular Celtic supporters gives him a minor profile.

While the Scottish media celebrated Kyle Lafferty’s return from suspension (what a character the big man is, eh?) some Celtic fans at Hampden thought differently. After the match Murray was deeply upset at the abuse aimed at his former Hearts hero- and he was off.

He was so outraged by the reception given to Lafferty that he felt the need to call up another buddie, Graham Spiers to discuss his outrage on a podcast.

Next up is Gordon Strachan- a boyhood Hibbie.

Strachan is employed by Dundee and picked up a payment from Boyle Sport to discuss Celtic for The Scottish Sun.

Poor Murray, it was too much for him. It seems that a visit to the City of Discovery in May 1986 has left the deepest of scars. The Guardian report is always welcome in the Media section at Celtic Park.
