The future of Giorgos Giakoumakis looks like becoming a transfer window classic.
Celtic seem to have accepted the terms on offer from Urawa Red Diamonds with the player believed to have undergone a medical in Amsterdam ahead of that move.
The prospect of moving to the striker moving to the J-League appears to have renewed the efforts of Atlanta United who initially had wanted to take Giakoumakis on loan.
According to Anthony Joseph a fresh offer has now came in from the MLS side that Celtic are considering.

Moving to the J-League would be something of a step into the unknown, joining Atlanta United would appear more straightforward but there is likely to be other issues involved in the move.
Goal reports that MLS clubs can sign players up until April 24 which could take away some of the pressure but from February 1 the main European leagues are closed for transfer business until the summer. In the J League registrations can be made until April 2.
