Micky Beale is poised to bring in three first team starters for his Ibrox Revolution.

When he first arrived at the club the former QPR boss claimed that he would wait until February to assess his squad alongside the usual stuff that the returns of Filip Helander, Tom Lawrence, Ridvan Yilmaz, Kemar Roofe and John Souttar would be like new signings.

After drawing with Celtic on Monday Beale spoke of the need to bring in new signings, at today’s media conference the Glasgow Times revealed that his first signings are almost over the line:

I hope to be moving soon after this weekend’s game in terms of bringing people in. The two or three I have spoken to are very keen to come here.

None of the three players I am speaking to are loan deals. Anyone coming in will be an important player for the next two or three seasons.

During the summer Ross Wilson generated a £4.9m transfer surplus, getting three first team players out of that will require a lot of imagination.
