Ange Postecoglou is looking to add to his Celtic squad before the transfer window closes.

The Celtic boss brought in three players before the window officially opened and has been strongly linked with Korean striker Cho Gue-sung.

That trail seems to have gone a little cold but with his forward planning the hoops boss will have a few other options and priorities to consider over the next few weeks.

Covering the post-match media conference, The Celtic Way reports Postecoglou saying:

We are still working on things and we are constantly trying to make the squad stronger. I think we need to and I want to and I don’t want us to stand still at any time. The three boys we all have brought in will make a contribution. They haven’t today but I have no doubt that they will contribute.

If there is an opportunity to make us stronger again we will take it. I want us to take it. For us it is about insuring we never stand still and that we are always looking to improve in every aspect of our football club.

With serious squad depth such as six first team ready midfielders and three international right-backs Postecoglou can be very selective with future signings.

The possible departure of Giorgos Giakoumakis will be causing most concern, whether it is Cho or someone else the goal threat and presence of the Greek internationalist won’t be easy to replace.

Earlier today Adam Montgomery returned to St Johnstone on loan till the end of the season.
