Ally McCoist has been reliving his Weekend From Hell with TalkSPORT listeners.

The cheeky chappie of broadcasting spreads his affections far and wide with matters at Ibrox coming a close second to accumulating more and more money.

Sharing a commentary gantry with Chris Sutton wasn’t much fun, and neither was being joined post match by the laughing and joking figure of Ange Postecoglou as the match was reviewed.

Being a real trooper McCoist kept on smiling before getting to slink off home to lick his wounds.

At 6am this morning he was live on air with Laura Woods, the focus was very much on English football but his miserable weekend couldn’t be avoided.

Listening in to his chat with former England cricketer Steve Harmison discussing Newcastle’s defeat at Wembley, The Sun reports the former Ibrox boss saying:

Harmy, I’ve got to say to you mate. I’ve not seen the highlights. As you can probably imagine, I’ve had the weekend from hell.

TalkSPORT’s destroyed me. Everybody getting beat. Rangers. Scotland. Sunderland. Chelsea. I’ve had the weekend from hell.

Sunderland lost 2-1 at Coventry on Saturday, Chelsea lost 2-0 away to Spurs while Gregor Townsend’s egg-chasers were beaten away to France.
