Ewen Cameron was remarkably upbeat after watching Hearts take their latest Tynecastle tanking from the Ibrox Tribute Act.

In three visits down Gorgie Road over the last eight months the second best team in Scotland have recorded an aggregate score of 10-1 against the third force in the Scottish game.

Cameron had the consolation of watching a top class performance by the visitors, the radio celebrity reckons that Micky Beale’s side are growing in confidence with every game- possibly because he watches them game very closely.

Like many of his generation, including a number in the Scottish media, the events at Dens Park in May 1986 have had a profound impact on Cameron’s life.

A token interest in matters Gorgie has evolved in to an obsessional dislike for Celtic which has found a comforting welcome at Ibrox.

Any sign of life from Aberdeen in games involving the Ibrox club tend to hit a raw nerve for celebrity Jambos as they echo the anger of Follow Follow at the temerity of putting in some effort.

In three matches against the Ibrox tribute act this season, with two matches played in Glasgow, Aberdeen have the moderate record of 4-9. Cameron’s Jambos have an aggregate of 0-8 with two of those matches at Tynecastle.
