A few hours after Ange Postecoglou’s dismissive comments about his social media activity Giorgos a Giakoumakis made a return to Instagram late on Friday night.
The striker hasn’t started a match since before the World Cup Finals in November, on Instagram he opted to make a story out of a First XI You Tube clip.
Postecoglou’s comment about Instagram might have been a throw away but it appears to have struck a nerve with Giakoumakis who has still to finalise his move to Atlanta United.
The image and link included in the Giakoumakis story leads to a video clip from Ethniki Omada ( a Greek account with 129,000 followers) announcing:
A line up… otherwise ?
Pelkas gives new roles to his teammates.
It forms a different lineup from the usual ones and attracts the viewer’s interest.
Last weekend there appeared to be a tug-of-war between Atlanta and Urawa Red Diamonds but with the main European transfer windows closed things have gone quiet.
The J-League is up and running with Urawa believed to have dropped their interest. Atlanta start their MLS season in three weeks time with plans well underway for their competitive action.
The transfer windows for the J-League and MLS remain open until April, getting a quick transfer and conclusion would seem to be the best outcome for all involved.
