Micky Beale is planning a summer swoop to bring Angus Gunn to Ibrox.

The former England youth team goalkeeper has made two first team appearances since the turn of the year with new Norwich boss David Wagner unconvinced by Gunn and veteran Tim Krull.

Beale looked into the eyes of former Norwich reserve Todd Cantwell before bringing him to Ibrox and is expected to perform a similar exercise on Gunn.

With Allan McGregor now aged 41 and out of contract in the summer Beale is in the market for at least one goalkeeper with Jon McLaughlin and Robbie McCrorie unable to displace Greegsy.

The Sun reports:

RANGERS are watching keeper Angus Gunn’s problems at Norwich as they look for a new long-term No?1.

The Glasgow club’s transfer supremo Ross Wilson knows Gunn from his time at Southampton.

Gunn, 27, was axed by boss David Wagner when he took charge last month. He could even be in the frame to play for Scotland, following his father Bryan.

Gunn, who has a market value of £3million, has represented England at all youth levels, including 12 appearances for the Under 21s.

Coming up with a transfer fee might be an issue for Wilson who splashed out £12m last summer on Rabbi Matondo, Ridvan Yilmaz and Ben Davies.

The out of contract duo of John Souttar and Tom Lawrence were enticed to Ibrox on mega-bucks deals but neither has played since August.

Cantwell lasted 45 minutes of the Scottish Cup tie against Partick Thistle before getting the hook alongside Ianis Hagi.

Last month the Ibrox club raised £1m from another share issue.

I see sevco are screaming for a home draw in the next round of the cup preferably Darvel if not them then us as a win here would then guarantee them the cup.
Apparently they will take care of anyone at home in ibrox, after yesterday’s performance I don’t think so.
