Alistair Johnston is going all in to acclimatise to life in Glasgow by binging on Still Game.

The Canadian internationalist speaks perfect English but has enjoyed a few brushes with the local dialect since moving to Celtic in December.

Last week he featured in a Burns Night video where Greg Taylor helped explain a few unique phrases to his team-mate.

Now in a bid to settle in further to his new footballing home he is tuning in to Greg Hemphill, Ford Kiernan and the rest of the cast from Craiglang that brought a different slant to televised Scottish and in particular Glaswegian humour.

Settling in to a new football culture involves a lot of different aspects but it is unlikely that many get a Still Game boxset to help with the process.

With every episode watched Johnston will be getting closer to the dressing room core of Taylor, Callum McGregor, David Turnbull, Stephen Welsh, James Forrest and Tony Ralston.

On the park Johnston is settling in nicely, Josip Juranovic was a key player in the first side built by Ange Postecoglou but from his debut at Ibrox the man from Montreal has barely put a foot wrong, thriving in the dominance that Celtic enjoy in most matches while being no slouch when it comes to defending his own penalty box.
