Micky Beale has blamed Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s squad rotation for taking the Ibrox Tribute Act into the Champions League Record books.

Six defeats and a goal difference of -22 made the club a laughing stock throughout Europe highlighted by a 7-1 home defeat from Liverpool after Scott Arfield opened the scoring.

To reach the Champions League group stake van Bronckhorst took his squad through two qualifiers against Union SG and PSV Eindhoven which was a task that Steven Gerrard and master tactician Beale never managed.

In August 2021 Beale coached his side into a 3-2 aggregate lead at half time in the second leg qualifier with Malmo down to 10 men.

The next 45 minutes saw one of the greatest collapses in European history wif Beale unable to do anyfink from the sidelines as Antonio Colak scored twice to steer Malmo into the lucrative Play Off Round.

After beating Alashkert 1-0 on aggregate to reach the Europa League group stage Beale and Gerrard bailed out after losing to Lyon and Sparta Prague, beating Brondby at home 1-0 then drawing 1-1 away to the Danes, taking four points from four matches before van Bronckhorst came in to take the same group of players to the final against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Beale has developed a habit of trashing anything that didn’t involve his own incredible coaching skills, speaking to the Daily Record he said:

When you look at the group that went on the long journey through Europe these past few years and you see that the vast majority of them didn’t play in the Champions League this season then it’s not really a surprise to me that the group struggled. The team had built up huge confidence over a number of years in the Europa League.

If you start taking four or five of those out of the team because of injury and different circumstances then the new boys coming in didn’t live that journey.

So it’s important we remember and respect what we did and cleverly evolve. It’s not rapid. You don’t go out with the old and in with the new. It doesn’t work. I think you have to phase it in and at the right time.

With his own squad Beale should get the chance to go through two qualifying rounds then take the Champions League by storm next season to remind everyone of his modest brilliance.

The former QPR boss can start his preparations for next season by getting Allan McGregor, Filip Helander, Ryan Jack, Arfield, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos signed up onto new long term contracts.

With pressure mounting on van Bronckhorst Beale decided on a promotional tour of #blue nose’ pubs before attending a home match against Aberdeen, watching from the Directors Box to remind fans what a great tactician he was during his spell delivering one trophy out of nine alongside Mister Gerrard.

    Talk is cheap.

Looks like Beale is getting some practice in before the LC Final: he will be shouting his mouth off in the week before.

If sevco lose the LC final, the bears will be out with the pitchforks at Ibrox. Again.

Beale’s carefully promoted PR persona in the SMSM will be shot to bits.

The bears might even be growling for Gio’s return! 🙂

What a idiot, no point in looking for a scapegoat, but the players are equally guilty, the ones that admitted to downing tools and not play, are more to blame than the manager. In any other field of employment they would have been sacked, if I was a manager of any other team needing to buy new players, I would stay clear of these players who down tools, because I would question their loyalty to any team they played for.

Ange did alright by putting out the old and straight in with the new all in the space of 7month and he hasnt looked back,, Beale is in way above his head at rangers,,its too big a club for him he’s blagged his way so far and the board have just gone with fan power,,that wont last, if he fails to deliver anything this year doubt the fans will give him continued support hes no under any pressure at all,,no one creeping up behind him,,he said hes on a par with celtic points wise,,because he started 9points behind us,, therefore he cant take credit for getting them into second place, as he inhereted that place from Gio
