Barry Ferguson has warned Fashion Sakala over the dangers of disrespecting Celtic.
Unlike the Zambian international ace Ferguson has spent his almost all of this century watching Celtic dominate Scottish football including lifting five trebles and being champions nine years running.
At a media conference yesterday Sakala, who has started 12 of this season’s 26 SPFL matches, referred to Celtic as the other mob which probably generated a few LOLs in the Celtic WhatsApp chat if it even got recognised.
Talk is cheap, filling spaces on internet pages might seem a good idea at the time but Ferguson suffered enough hammerings in the Glasgow derby to know that it is best to keep private thoughts private.
Listening to Go Radio, the Daily Record reports the former Alloa boss saying:
I always respected, always, that went out the window when you crossed the white line but I think you have got to give respect. If you are not respectful, nine times out of 10 you are going to get a slap in the face, so it’s interesting to see what Sakala has said.
Now well into his second season at Ibrox Sakala has started 36 matches, during last season’s Europa League Final he was sent on as a substitute in the 74th minute then replaced by Aaron Ramsay in the 118th minute.
