Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Liel Abada and Tony Ralston will be missing for a few weeks after picking up knocks on international duty.

The winger came off the bench in the 3-1 win over Hibs on March 18 but appeared to pick up a hamstring knock two days later on international duty with Israel.

Abada missed out on both international matches and has spent this week with Celtic’s medical team. Ralston was a late call up to the Scotland squad but was injured in training and returned to Celtic following the 3-0 win over Cyprus.

Asked about the fitness of players coming back from injury Postecoglou told Sky Sports at 1.50 today:

Ralston and Abada picked up some injuries in camp so will probably miss a couple of weeks. We will see how they develop.

James Forrest is still out for a little bit of time. The other two are Aaron Mooy and Tomoki Iwata, who have stayed with us and they are touch and go for the weekend, we don’t see them being too far away.

The Celtic boss will give more detail in his main media conference which should be on You Tube around 3pm.

Abada and Ralston look certain to miss the April 8 Glasgow derby with attention for both players turning towards the Scottish Cup semi-final on April 30 at Hampden.
