The day after Cameron Carter-Vickers was left out of the USA international squad the defender has featured in a pre-match tweet for tomorrow’s match at home to Hibs.

Carter-Vickers is a strong contender for any Player of the Year award this season but despite playing at the World Cup Finals in Qatar he has been left out of the US squad to face Grenada and El Salvador in CONCACAF Nations League ties.

New international coach Anthony Hudson hinted that certain players had been left out of his squad due to injury issues with Carter-Vickers reported to have a knee injury.

The former Spurs defender missed two matches in January through injury but since then has been in his usual place anchoring the Celtic defence alongside Carl Starfelt.

After tomorrow’s match Carter-Vickers will have a 15 day break before Celtic’s next fixture- away to Ross County on April 2.

Greg Taylor, Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatate will also miss out on international action next week for a variety of reasons.
