Celtic ended Andy Halliday’s Scottish Cup dreams in brutal fashion at Tynecastle today.
The go-to guy of the Scottish media had been shouting the odds ahead of the quarter-final tie at Tynecastle but in common with his team-mates Halliday barely turned up as Celtic crushed Hearts for the second time in a week.
On Friday Halliday told the Daily Record:
You have a better chance of beating them at Celtic Park or Hampden so for me it was the perfect draw. We have set out ambitions to try and win a cup.
Aaron Mooy got the scoring underway in just the second minute when he fired home from 12 yards out.
Celtic should have put the tie to bed but missed a succession of first half chances before a flick of Kyogo Furuhashi’s heel in the 44th minute knocked the life out of the hosts.
Halliday was substituted midway through the second half with a Cameron Carter-Vickers header in the 80t minute sent the home fans racinG for the exits.
Celtic are due back at Tynecastle after the split looking to complete a clean sweep over Hearts in the SPFL.
The win prevents the minis from lying down to the huns yet again later in the competition.
Neilson and Halliday are hun fannies.
Shut your mouths the pair o ye.
As the late ,great David Coleman would have said … Decapitated chickens 0……Celtic 3…… It’s quite remarkable !
Andy Haliwanker is utter shite thats afact he’s never a player honest he’s better selling the big issue at liebrox.
Halliday’s been round the block more times than a Manhattan Yellow Cab. And he still knows nothing. A pure time-waster!
If that’s the best that the jam-tarts can throw at us, then Scottish football is in a very dark space!
Halliday has more chance of being voted edinburghs most handsome man than beating celtic at parkhead or Hampden , keep taking the deludemol and have a lie down in a dark room you tosser
