Desperate Morelos sends signals to equally desperate EPL club

Alfredo Morelos has been wearing an Everton top during one of his notorious trips home to Colombia.

Returning late, overweight or both are par for the course for the Ibrox hero who has three more pay days before he becomes a free agent.

Despite no genuine interest in him over 11 transfer windows the usual speculation has been in play over the last couple of weeks after an Inter Milan rumour in January.

The Record reports:

He’s back in Colombia for the international break and a clip shared by the Alfredo Morelos foundation’s social media manager Karina Isa Ruiz showed him wearing an Everton shirt during a friendly kick-about. Fans on social media have been left guessing as to what his connection with the Goodison Park side is although his international teammate Yerry Mina plays for them as does former Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson, so he has every reason to have a soft spot for the Premier League team.

Sevilla a couple of weeks back drew comment then a denial from Micky Beale while the Galatasaray rumour surfaced again last week.

A move back to Colombia or Mexico seems most likely in the summer but Everton’s reputation for paying way over the odds for bang average players might just have prompted Morelos into dreaming of a move to the EPL even though a work permit for a non-internationalist is highly unlikely.
