With just the final details of the severance payment and the timing of the announcement to be settled the Daily Record are already hoping that Ange Postecoglou will be Antonio Conte’s successor at Spurs.

Using the exact same template that has linked the Celtic boss with Everton and Leeds in recent times they went through the usual points to provide their elderly readers with hope that Celtic could be plunged into chaos.

Around his appointment in June 2021 the Record treated the former Socceroos boss as a joke figure, up against the juggernaut that was Mister Gerrard at Ibrox.

Last month at Hampden Postecoglou comprehensively outsmarted Micky Beale to win the Viaplay Cup to give Celtic a realistic chance of lifting the domestic treble.

That prospect is one that fills the Circulation Team at the Record with terror as they try to plot a route through to the end of the year with sales above 50,000 per day.

Postecoglou won’t be facing any media conferences for 10 days which allows him to sit back and have a chuckle at the despair his continued employment is causing at the Glasgow based publisher.

Gave up real stories and journalism for click bait lies and half wits calling themselves journalists because they paid for a blue tick on Twitter

    Shambles of a paper

Thank F*** that Daniel Levy is a serial sacker. Ange would never be give time there to build his team there. Spurs have the cash to fulfil Ange’s ambitions but, feck me, have no patience and that will Def be Ange’s main criteria when/if he moves to Liverpoo (er, meant the EPL ?)

Tony Hart’s Morph could have written that article in the daily sevco.

Ffs why on earth would big Ange leave one of the best teams in Britain and equally backed up to the hilt from his chairman financially believe me Ange will never manage another team in Britain you can trust me on this one.

  • John S says:

Ange Postecoglou is linked with every empty manager’s chair in the land. “Linked” meaning fabricated.

  • JimBhoy says:

Our manager linked with every vacant job in a bigger better league shows he is doing exceptionally well and the biased media are just trying to sell their ever declining product to a gullible demographic.

Big Ange will leave when it suits him, presently he seems to be loving it and has other targets and goals to fulfill and as long as he is making us money and exciting the fans he will always be loved. His style and recruitment player profile have genuine purpose whereas on the other side of toon they have a decrepit squad falling to bits who will keep their place in 2nd or 3rd for the foreseeable.

Bears crap on the streets of Govan.

It is getting beyond a joke but let’s be honest here Spurs are an entirely different proposition than any of the Clubs mentioned previously.
It will happen eventually but hopefully not for a few years yet.
