Early April Fools from SPFL as Ange Postecoglou is snubbed for March Manager of the Month

It seems that victories in the SPFL over the two Edinburgh clubs, hammering St Mirren at Fortress Paisley and a convincing 3-0 win away to Hearts in the Scottish Cup wasn’t enough from Ange Postecoglou to impress the panel voting for the March Manager of the Month.

Another gong and a litre or two of vodka won’t be missed by the Celtic boss but the award to Barry Robson says a lot about the thinking inside of Scottish football.

The former Celtic midfielder WON TWO matches during March while the Dons sat on the sidelines watching Postecoglou’s side make progress towards a domestic treble.

Put into the job following the sacking of Jim Goodwin, Robson steered Aberdeen to a 3-1 win away to Dundee United followed by a 3-0 home win over Hearts.

Decent results, enough to give him the Pittodrie gig until the end of this season but there is a reason why Robson is smiling in the picture.

Hopefully Postecoglou picks up the April award with the month including two Glasgow derbies plus SPFL matches against Ross County, Kilmarnock and Motherwell.
