Steve Clarke’s extended contract is just another reason for loyal bears to be angry this weekend.

In February 2019 the former Kilmarnock boss highlighted the religious abuse that he suffered during a visit to Ibrox, it was par for the course but brought unwanted attention on a very Scottish problem to a larger, UK audience.

Sevco fans don’t require much to carry a grudge, after highlighting the hatred of Catholics inside Ibrox Clarke was fair game and added to the lengthy list of haters.

Later in 2019 UEFA twice imposed partial stadium closures on Ibrox, strangely Clarke’s present employers, the SFA have never taken any action over Scotland’s shame.

Apparently Clarke’s new deal is rewarding mediocrity, last month James Tavernier was inducted into a Hall of Fame. The man that has delivered excuses while watching Celtic lift 15 of the last 19 domestic trophies.
