Ange Postecoglou will have to wait and see how Daizen Maeda reacts to an injury picked up tonight against Hearts.

The winger scored Celtic’s equaliser in the 25th minute but came off second best in a collision with Hearts goalkeeper Zander Clark.

The offside flag of the assistant was overturned by a VAR review but after initial treatment Maeda went off in the 31st minute to be replaced by Jota.

Listening to Postecoglou speaking to Radio Scotland about Maeda’s injury the Daily Record reports the Celtic boss saying:

It’s a knock on the knee. We will just have to see, it’s a short turnaround to Saturday so we will just have to see how he is. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious.

Greg Taylor was missing from tonight’s squad but is expected to be fit and available for Saturday’s Scottish Cup rematch at Tynecastle.

The defender was replaced by Alexandro Bernabei in one of four changes to the side that beat St Mirren 5-1 on Sunday.

It took until the 84th minute for Celtic to secure the points tonight with Sead Haksabanovic coming in from the left wing to fire an unstoppable shot past Zander Clark.

Hearts suffered two injuries with Josh Ginnelly replaced late in the first half by Yutaro Oda who was then substituted by Garang Kuol in the 65th minute.
