Kris Boyd has claimed that VAR wrongly disallowed a goal from Jota against Motherwell in November.
Celtic were leading 1-0 midway through the second half when Reo Hatate threaded through a perfect ball that the former Benfica winger took in his stride, ran through on goal then netted.
The assistant referee raised his flag, after a VAR check the ‘goal’ was disallowed with the SFA later coming out with a statement that a VAR camera hadn’t functioned but the decision was correct.
Strangely the SFA statement claimed that Jota was offside when he received the ball while the Laws of the Game are for when the ball is played.
There was another dubious VAR decision at Fir Park today, this time going against Motherwell, while discussing that decision Boyd decided to go back in time and claim that another VAR mistake had happened earlier in the season.

Boyd: The worry for me James would be, you look at Celtic here a couple of months ago with Jota, he is clearly onside.
