Obsessed Guardian reporter snipes at relentless and outstanding Celtic

Ewan Murray seems unable to look the other way as Celtic push on towards another SPFL Premiership title.

After a lacklustre first half away to St Mirren Ange Postecoglou’s side scored five second half goals as they demonstrated the resolve on champions to restore their nine point lead at the top of the SPFL table.

Murray is a lifelong Hearts fan but earns his living describing the action on the fairways and bunkers for Guardian readers. Rather than get some research in for next month’s Masters his attention at lunchtime was drawn to Celtic.

It certainly wasn’t against Champions League opponents but the way that Celtic broke down a packed defence to score five times deserves some praise.

St Mirren have only lost once at home this season, back in September they became the only Scottish team to beat Celtic this season.

Murray isn’t required to join the happy clappers showering Celtic with praise but if the success of one club causes so much concern he really should stick to sharing his knowledge of golf with Guardian readers and his Twitter followers.
