Only a marginal offside decision denied Oh Hyeon-gyu a spectacular equaliser for South Korea against Uruguay today.
Although the ‘goal’ was disallowed there was plenty for Celtic fans to enjoy as their January signing showed what he is capable of against what is traditionally a very strong nation defensively.
Taking up a good position for a pass just outside the penalty box, Oh took two touches with his back to goal before spinning round to fire his shot high into the net.
With HYEON 26 on his back he ran off to celebrate his 84th minute goal only to have his joy cut sort by an offside call.

Oh missed out on an official place in South Korea’s World Cup squad last year but trained with the squad in Qatar.
In his last Celtic outing he scored a critical 82nd minute goal to put the hoops ahead against Hibs, on recent showings it looks as if club, country and player are all benefiting from the January move to Europe.
