Demand for the newly launched Celtic Samba trainers has cleared the shelves at Adidas HQ of many sizes.
With minimal pre-launch publicity fans were hovering over the Adidas website for the 8am release, within 10 minutes there was an online queue of 40,000 fans waiting to order their classic footwear.
Some fans found business a lot quicker by switching to JD Sport but it seems certain that there is going to be a distinctive green look this summer across the west of Scotland with demand taking Adidas by surprise.

Further batches of the Celtic Samba will be in production at this moment, today’s exercise gives everyone involved an idea of the market and demand that there is for Celtic merch.
After last week’s launch of a fourth kit it seems that the partnership between Celtic and Adidas is going from strength to strength.
