VAR takes a break from big decisions at Celtic Park and Easter Road

VAR continued in its very selective ways tonight as Celtic maintained their nine point lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership.

At Celtic Park the visitors netted in the sixth minute through Josh Ginnelly with the assistant linesman flagging for offside.

A lengthy VAR checked followed, the goal stood with some inconclusive VAR images released five minutes later with thick lines drawn from a distance. It seems that Scottish VAR doesn’t have the ability to go 3-D to highlight the most marginal of decisions.

Nick Walsh was on VAR duty.

Over at Easter Road Tavpen does what Tavpen does, netting in 12th minute after a Connor Goldson OG had given Hibs the lead.

David Dickinson, who got three penalty decisions wrong at the St Mirren v Celtic on Sunday, watched the penalty and failed to spot the clear encroachment of Fashion Sakala.

On Tuesday night Chelsea were awarded a penalty retake after Borussia Dortmund players had encroached into the penalty box.

Maybies aye, maybes naw. Relayed to a van and due to colour pictures not available. The white and black team get the decision over the black and white team, and the green and white team still live in a grey area.

    That tonight was shocking.
Time wasting on a grotesque scale aided and abetted by the referee. 45 seconds to a minute to take a by kick. Three players wandering over to take a throw in and each then walked away. Committing fouls and then kicking the ball away.
All in plain view of the referee with nothing done.
A disgraceful performance from the man in the middle.

That Jeremy Hunt of a manager of theirs he has done more greetin than a Christmas card.
Him and the sevco doppelganger klub from Edinburgh tried all their shenanigans they could muster up against us while just the previous week they stood still against their cousins.
I never heard one moan from the Hearts fraudster manager when sevco gubbed them the other week in Edinburgh but every excuse was made last night after that defeat.
I would love us to SCUD the arse aff them this weekend at least 5 or 6 would be the icing on the cake for a PERFECT week.
