Watch the Alistair Johnston/Andy Halliday penalty incident that Willie Collum didn’t review

After the freworks of Celtic’s visit to Tynecastle in October today’s Scottish Cup tie was relatively free of VAR incidents.

Kevin Clancy kept a lid on things on the pitch with Willie Collum his extra set of eyes in the VAR studio for the pick of the weekend Scottish Cup ties.

Aaron Mooy’s second minute goal took the wind out of Hearts with Celtic constantly pushing and pressing for the second goal that would effectively kill Hearts off.

Down the right flank Alistair Johnston and Jota were a constant threat, 10 minutes from the break the Canadian was sending in a cross from just inside the penalty box when Andy Halliday made a typically late lunge.

Johnston did get his cross in but the Jambo utility man made sure that he wasn’t taking any further part in the move.

Strangely there was no pause for a video review, Viaplay Sport showed that there was contact inside the penalty box but this time Collum didn’t want to get involved.

In the 44th minute Kyogo Furuhashi did scored Celtic’s second with Cameron Carter-Vickers finishing the contest with an 80th minute header.
