Substitute Sead Haksabanovic scored a brilliant 84th minute goal to seal Celtic’s 3-1 win over Hearts.

It took the hoops until the hour mark to go in front after Josh Ginnelly had opened the scoring in the sixth minute with Daizen Maeda equalising before going off injured.

A typical finish from Kyogo Furuhashi put Celtic in front but there were a few nervy moments as Hearts pushed for an equaliser.

On the 70th minute Ange Postecoglou made a triple change, 14 minutes later Haksabanovic cut in from the left to flash a brilliant right foot shot that Zander Clark couldn’t get near.

The two teams meet again on Saturday in the Scottish Cup with Postecoglou going to Tynecastle with a full compliment of attacking options.

Kyogo’s goal took his total for the season to 25 with only the first half injury to Maeda causing any concern for the home fans.

With 10 matches left to play Celtic have a nine point lead with 26 wins, one draw and just one defeat in the SPFL.

I think that Haksa – like Abada – has so much more to offer the team.

Kyogo, Hatate, Mooy and Maeda, have been getting most plaudits recently,

but Haksa and Abada have the ability to be our best players, imo.

[CalMac aside, of course. 🙂 ]
